Fall in Love With Art...
My name is Leigh, and I love being a visual artist. I invite you to see the world through my eyes and feel the energy, colour, and emotion.
I had my first solo show in Vancouver and my second here at Little Fernwood Gallery in 2019. I had another solo exhibition at Little Fernwood in 2021 along with a solo exhibition at the Victoria Swan Lake Community Office of Rob Fleming.
I have participated in group shows with the Victoria Arts Council (VAC), which I am a member of. I am also a Carfac Member.
At the moment I am actively inspired and continue to create original paintings, painted objects, photography and working on prose and putting some stories to paper.
Last summer I started the HOPE BUTTON Adventures. It am grateful for all of the support, engaging conversations, and sharing of HOPE.

When I paint, I get lost in my emotions and reflections as well as in the layers of paint, sometimes 2–5 layers. For me, impasto-style painting allows immediate explosions of vibrant colour and deep expression. The colours tug at me to move, and then, in a flash my brush leaves the canvas and I know this inspiration is fulfilled.
The interpretation of this abstract style is left to the viewer. The core of this journey has been one of healing and love...
